(1) Augmentation of water supply at Sarthana, Katargam & Rander Water Works:

Detailed Project Report for "Augmentation of water supply at Sarthana, Katargam & Rander Water Works" is approved by Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India under Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission. Total Cost Estimates for all the project components is Rs.140.68 Crores. All these project components will be implemented in the timeframe of two years and will be completed by March, 2009.

Objective of the project

• To ensure adequate capacity of drawal and treatment at source.
• Cater to present needs as well as well the future needs upto the year 2021 and with facility to augment the system for the needs of the year 2036.
• To satisfy the above object the following components have been proposed :
  1. Intake well in River alongwith pumphouse.
  2. Water Treatment Plant.
  3. Transmission lines upto Water Distribution Stations.
