Surat Municipal Corporation is gradually switching over to "e-tendering". It is the process wherein the physical tendering activity is carried out online using the Internet and associated technologies and For the purpose SMC has engaged M/s. (n)Code Solutions-a division of GNFC Ltd. (Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizer Co. Ltd.) which is approved as the Licensed Certifying Authority under the Indian Information Technology Act 2000. M/s. (n)Code Solutions has been appointed as a service provider nodal agency by the Government of Gujarat for all e-Procurement works.

Persons/agencies intending to participate in tenders are requested to have "Digital Signature Certificate" from any of the Licensed Certifying Authorities under the provisions said IT Act  2000.
